Us Vogue June 2010: Blake Lively By Mario Testino

This has got to be one of the simplest yet effective covers of Us Vogue to date. I mean look how summery, subtle and serene that cover is. Love how the colors work with each other. And it's an another banner-free cover!

What I don't get with this is why did Anna choose Blake again? She's only relevant because Gossip Girl will have it's series finale and that's it. I mean, no movie to promote, no recent political/environmental affairs or anything. Needless to say, she's IRRELEVANT. Blake, in this cover is undeniably gorgeous but to have 2 covers in the span of 15 months, that's just wrong. Is she becoming the new Sienna Miller that everytime she does something she'll bag herself a cover. Hope not. And to be honest, her Kate Moss knock-off editorial is pretty amazing.

According to other people, this cover also looks like the cover of Uma Thurman on the same month of 2006. Well I agree, the hair looks the same. The text for me here is so not working. And what the hell is that gigantic 65 for? It's as if it'll catch buyers attention.

I just hope this issue sells well. So excited to see the return of the ever gorgeous Karen Elson. And in case you're wondering what Mathew Morrison's editorial looks like, one word to describe it - HOT! Raquel and Mathew did there thing and it works - they look so cute together!

Hoping to re-post this post with a better review of the entire contents.
