Fashion Dilemma!

If you're a senior in La Salle Green Hills every friday you're expected to wear something casual. This is to practice us for college especially when we're going to De La Salle University and Ateneo University. Now my problem is, WHAT SHOULD I WEAR. Of course I still have to follow the given set of rules by LSGH. No coats, blazers, cardigans, skinny's and what else - uhm girly stuff. Now this is where the problem kicks in. I'm too fond of wearing those loose & baggy pants to school or anywhere! I don't wanna break the rules but I wanna break tradition.

What to wear? Should I go for Bohemian Chic like Nicole Richie turned tomboy? Or should I go Preppy Goes Rock like Kristen Stewart? Or, or maybe I should go for Chic like Natalia Vodianova. I am so confused.

I need your fashion tips, helps and advices! WERQ!

Vogue China August 2010: Karlie Kloss By Peter Lindbergh

Now this is Vogue China. These are the covers who I really missed for the past 2 months. This just showcase why I fell in love with Vogue China. It's so effortless, chic and subtle. The Balenciaga dress really looks lovely. Karlie on the other hand looks so pretty but sleepy at first look. The colors are so nice as well as the background. I love it!

Vogue Nippon August 2010: Abbey Lee Kershaw By Inez & Vinoodh

What to say? I really don't have that much to say about this cover. Looks like they decided to change their layout which served them for 3 years now. At first I didn't like the new fonts but its sort of growing into me.

So is Abbey Lee the new Daria in Japan. The cover model who sells like pancakes? Hope so. But what I don't get is what's with Vogue Nippon and Abbey Lee's hair. Her February 2010 cover could've been spectacular but her hair ruined it and this too. Why don't they just let her magnificent luscious hair drape down?

I love the Giorgio Armani dress as well as her pose. And oh, the banner! What's up with the banner. Are they really going that "Japanese" in terms of crowded covers.

This year hs got to be the most informal for Vogue Nippon in terms of covers. 3-month lasting layouts then a new one will come out. I really do hope they find the light for the perfect and sellable layout.

Vogue Italia July 2010: Christy Turlington By Steven Meisel

Simply stunning. Christy looks fabuous as usual but adds up a bit spice on her stare. That stare tantalizes me and makes me want to buy everything she wants. Just love this. To me, so far, this is the best Vogue Italia I've seen. Not so creative but still a classic.

I'm really excited on how the key editorial looks like. I hope that it's not a studio shot and reminiscent to Amber Valleta's recent Vogue editorial. The tea green effect on the bottom part is a bit inappropriate for me, either way, still looks nice!

Preview Magazine July 2010: Gretchen Barretto

Simply Fabulous! Everything is perfect! Only Gretchen can do justice on this cover. The color scheme is subtle, what she's wearing is tranquil and nothing is wrong. I've got the chance to browse through the issue itself and to tell you Gretchen gave justice to the Best of the International Designers. Here goes Balenciaga, Gucci, Junya Watanabe, and more. Every shot is worth a portrait and cover!

Very excited to buy this issue. Heads up Preview and happy 15th!

Mega Magazine July 2010: Carla Abellana By Darren Tieste

Boring! I don't get the new aesthetic of Mega. Surely, Carla Sibal's layout and covers are a lot better! This cover, with the image and all feels so bland and boring. It doesn't give us the appeal to buy it. This cover is also a fold out cover but it ended up as a disaster! The fold out pages were random, rubbish and cheap!

I hope Carla, the former Editor-in-Chief takes this as a calling and go back for Sari Yap, the owner is ruining the legacy she made!

Vogue Russia July 2010: Mariacarla Boscono By Sharif Hamza

Finally, after having 3 months of rubbish worth covers from Vogue Russia, they finally redeemed their selves! Just look how gorgeous this cover is! The pose, the mood, the colors and the text! Everything is perfect! Any Vogue with the ever gorgeous Mariacarla never fails! It sells and works!

II'm so excited to see more out of this issue! I hope it gets available soon in ebooks so I could download! Anyway, that's all for now!

A New President & A New Look!

Welcome to the new Love Is My Color! You may ask, WHY CHANGE THE FANCIFUL LAYOUT so here's my answer. I decided to change it because today marks or marked another new chapter in the Philippines. We had our 3rd Inauguration hours ago and it represented CHANGE for the better!

I've planned everything since last week. Arranged new features, segments and styles of writing. But why just now? I intentionally changed it today, June 30 so it coincides with the Inauguration.

Here's too a new look, new posts, new President & to a BETTER Philippines!

US Vogue July 2010: Marion Cotillard By Mario Testino

Amour, adorer et magnifique! This is just simply stunning! I love the simplicity of the cover and the color schemes of it! Marion looks absolutely stellar. She's wearing a dress from Dior, shot by Mario Testino in Paris, France!

This is just gorgeous! I am so excited to buy this and see the entirety of the issue. And to tell you, it's killing me because I haven't seen a single editorial from the issue! Oh well...

Versace Down?

"LUXURY Italian fashion house Versace has confirmed it had suffered a loss in profits over the past year. Revenues of the business reportedly decreased by 19 per cent with losses widening to £41 million.

Losses before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization totalled £1.87 million. Giangiacomo Ferraris, ceo of Gianni Versace SpA, credited the losses to last year's slump in the luxury goods market and a rigorous restructuring plan.

"Besides the general weak demand, the results were influenced by a reorganization of our sales network via the closure of unsatisfactory relationships or ones that weren't in line with the new product strategies," said Ferraris to WWD. "The added value of this strategy will be evident in the future."

He insisted all implemented restructuring was important and beneficial to the Versace brand.

"They were totally necessary to give the brand new success and make it competitive," said Ferraris."

One Step At A Time

It's almost 3 in the morning and I'm still here being unwell. I used that turm because I'm unsure with what I'm feeling. I'm not happy and at the same time I'm not sad. Most certainly not emo.

I thought going to Indonesia will make me or made me move on and forget the past. And yeah, it worked. To be honest it was a long journey. Every day was painful and unusual but as you go on, you get used to it. So I thought.

Recently, like days ago, when I thought I was ready to start a new every flopped. Everything went back. Feelings, hopes, pains... Everything! It's like you just went into rehab and thought you were sober but with a snap you're addicted again.

I'm really unsure of what I'm feeling right now. But the one who's dominating is sadness fr the most parts. It's like wanting a chance but your mind tells you to stop. I really have letting-go issues. I should really accept the fact that boy are meant for girls and not everyone finds love. I should really know how to not trespass the borderline between friendship and more.

Letting go is not an easy task. We all know that! How can we let go when our hearts enjoy? When our hearts contradict the decision made by our hearts. What should we follow, a heart that never fails us or the brain that knows more. Hard right?

From now on I promise to distract myself once again. Distraction is the best addicition. That didn't make sense right. I also promised myself that I'll never put malice one things. When a friend talks to you, it doesn't mean that he likes you the way you want him to like you.

Well, only God and Time can tell if we'll find love or what. We shoul really put it into their hands. Stop finding it and start living life! Move on!

Twitter Overload?

This is so disappointing! I thought twitter was one of the high-maintenanced websites but I guess I was wrong. Look at this! Too many Tweets? Facebook doesn't give us a "Too Many Status Updates" error. Urgh!

US Elle July 2010: Rihanna By Tom Munro

Unbelievable! This has got to be one of Elle's bestest cover to date. Look how Rihanna looks. Isn't she sexy and gorgeous (less the hair)? I love the Balmain dress and her twisting pose. Love everything!

US Vogue Cover Rumors

Gwyneth Paltrow is said to grace the September/October issue of the said magazine. She'll be gracing it to promote her upcoming movie "Love Don't Let Me Down" to be released somewhere between the said months.
" A tipster informs us that Gwyneth Paltrow shot an editorial for Vogue with Mario Testino this past Saturday at her Manhattan apartment. The next day, Testino shot a fall collection editorial in Tribeca with Noah Mills and Carmen Kass.
Could this be September issue material? The timing sure is right. If so, let’s hope the cover is more like this and less like this. "
If this rumor is true, this will be her 7th time to grace American Vogue and will be putting her on the same spot and number of covers as Nicole Kidman.

Below are the 21st century covers of Gwyneth Paltrow:

US Vogue March 2002
US Vogue October 2003

"Vogue US July cover

... a French actress on the cover.............
"
Another name firing up the rumors is the beloved French Actress, Marion Cotillard. I'm not sure on this one but she really fits the said description. And she has an upcoming movie to be released on July. But some names like Audrey Tatou, Vanessa Paradis, Noemi Lenoir and Catherine Deneuve are some names we shouldn't disregard.

UK Elle July 2010: Kristen Stewart By Matthias Vriens McGrath

Boring! I like UK Elle, I think they're one of the best but their cover choices are just bland and boring. Especially this one. I never liked Kristen Stewart. There's something about her that makes me sleepy.

Xavier Samuel: Eclipse's New Vamp

"When Xavier Samuel arrived in Vancouver last summer, he didn't make it far past baggage claim before he started making headlines. With just a few offbeat Australian flicks under his belt, the sandy-haired 26-year-old had been chosen to play newborn vampire Riley, the latest heartthrob in The Twilight Saga. Almost instantaneously he was being hailed as Robert Pattinson's doppelgänger and couldn't get coffee without seeing flashbulbs.

"It was all very sudden, not just with the paparazzi but also with being cast in general," says Xavier, who's been acting since high school. "I did an audition from Sydney on tape. Then I got word that it was down to four guys—and that I was one of them." (Rumor has it he beat out Channing Tatum and Harry Potter's Tom Felton for the part.)

But the role of Riley was a perfect fit—and Xavier had a blast hanging out on the set of Eclipse. An indie-rock aficionado who has recently been digging The Magnetic Fields and The xx, Xavier joined in on periodic jam sessions with fellow guitarists Robert and Jackson Rathbone. (Xavier travels everywhere with his old Yamaha C-40.) And he bonded with Bryce Dallas Howard—his on-screen love interest, vampire trainer Victoria—who thought she was helping him get acclimated with stateside pop culture when she bought him a DVD box set of Lost. "People think that there's, like, one public phone in Australia and that we all ride kangaroos to work," the Adelaide native jokes. "They're surprised we do actually get American TV and things there."

After a few months of couch surfing in Los Angeles post-Eclipse, Xavier took off for Berlin, where he's been filming the Roland Emmerich–directedAnonymous, an Elizabethan thriller that contests the authorship of Shakespeare's plays. "It's been lots of tights, pantaloons, and riding around on horses—definitely a change of speed," he says. "To go from Stephenie Meyer to Shakespeare? You can't really make a bigger jump than that."

Vogue China July 2010: Sarah Jessica Parker By Mario Testino

Horrible! What the fuck is happening with Vogue China? I mean, Sarah Jessica Parker in this cover really looks lovely but why reprint? This is the 2nd time that this cover was reprinted. The first time was with Vogue Taiwan and now China and both looked terrible!

What's happening Vogue China? You used to be one of the Vogue's who USED to produce sellable and striking covers! I thought you were to redeem yourselves from your terrible June issue, but I guess I was wrong!

We all know that it's recession through out the world and magazines really do need to sell. It's not our fault that Sarah Jessica Parker really sells but at least be original and creative. It's okay to reprint at times but don't use the same cover image for it become boring and repetitive and leads to not selling.

I'm really disappointed! I really do hope and am praying for Vogue China to step up their game and give us a cover that would live up to the name Vogue. Not that I'm saying that their editorial are bland and boring but covers matter too.

I love Nigel! He's been one of my most favorite judge of all time. He's cute, handsome and do-able! This picture just proves it! Don't you just wanna take all his clothes off and do him. I want to!

Yummy, yummy, yummy! No wonder that it's been a number of cycles in ANTM and he's still not evicted as a judge! You Tyra, naughty, naughty Tyra! But girl, I can't blame you!

Dolce & Gabbana Signs Rihanna

There are rumors spreading that Rihanna is set to replace Madonna as Dolce & Gabbana's muse. And that means we're gonna see her on the future ad campaigns of Dolce & Gabbana. If this is true, I am really excited! Rihanna is the epitome of scandalous couture fashion. No one can be greater than her styling skills.

Numéro 114: Monika Jagaciak by Sølve Sundsbø

Simply stellar! This cover brings back Numéro at the top of the game. I mean, look how gorgeous this cover is. The way Jac looks at us. The way her hair looks like it's in motion. What I also love in this cover is how the dress moves even though it doesn't.

I saw the preview editorials and I must say that it's really worth the buy. Very high contrast, and very different from Vogue Paris.

Support Numéro! Don't rely on E-Books and Scans, buy the issue!

Garage April/May 2010: Sam Milby

This cover is really hot! Sam Milby looks sexier than before. How can you stop drooling over that cover. And may I tell you, I bought myself a copy and Sam's editorial is to die for. Every shot oozes sex appeal.

There's also a feature on the Hottest People today. I love Fabio Ide, which is also funny because I bought my copy in Greenbelt where I saw him. And I saw him on the same day. Destiny calling? Hope so!

Either way, support Garage! Buy the issue don't rely on scans - if ever you find one.

Cosmopolitan Philippines June 2010: Marian Rivera By Pat Dy

I think Marian really looks great even though I'm not her fan. A bit obvious on the photo shop side but other than that this is okay. The text layout is very Cosmopolitan. What I really hate about this cover is the picture of uber hotness Mateo on the side. It makes the cover image super distracting. Other than that, this is okay.

Cody Cummings Addiction

I Am Mon, And I'm a Cody-holic! Sad! It started when I was browsing through LPSG and I saw his name. I was like, 300,000 hits so there must be something special with this guy. So there, from the moment I clicked the first picture, I fell in love! I just kept clicking and saving all the pictures available.

Pages passed by and when I reached page 5, there it was "Video Downloads". So hello I got curious on how Cody works. So I downloaded a trial video. And gosh he is good. The first video was so hot that I downloaded another video. Then there I realized that I was on my 7th video.

Now, I kept on downloading and downloading his videos may it be on torrent, online and live streams. I can't stop. I don't know what to do. His smuggy face and suckish talent made me love him more than I expected.

Maybe my friend Deric was right! Maybe it's just my hormones functioning all the time. I'm not sure. All I know is that I need to stop, SOON! Oh Gosh!

UK Harper's Bazaar July 2010: Vanessa Paradis By Cedric Buchet

Summer Love! Look how gorgeous this cover looks! Vanessa Paradis looks effortlessly fierce in this cover! I love it so much.

I'm just a bit unsure of the hair. I love the messy look but it looks a bit heavy and dull. I don't know. This is the Subscriber's cover by the way. I'm not yet sure if this cover will look good with a lot of text or if there's a different cover.
